The cirriculum is accelerated and can be a bit difficult on a child that struggles. The do square root math in 5th grade. Some of our very favorite and excellent teachers have left for better & higher positions that they definitly deserved, we are now left with a few good ones.

Organized school- fun activities.. the principal is fair-- and addresses any problems immediately and with care. Great kind teachers--good mix of kids! highly recommend. Everyone walks /rides to school-- fabulous neighborhood/easy playdates etc..

The school has a wonderful program in which students are fully challlenged to their academic standards. The staff motivate students to excell, with appropriate incentives. Parent volunteersmanship is acceptable. Overall an absolutely energetic, fun, academic, and spirited school at that.

Great Schools Parent Reviews (View All): (June 29, 2006) Why do they list this school as being in North Las Vegas? I agree with one post that CMHS was a great school in the beginning. That is because most new schools are great when they first open. There is more parent involvement at first and that is the one thing that Cimarron is definately lacking at this point. In fact that is probably what most schools are lacking. It is still overall one of the better schools in Las Vegas.

Great Schools Parent Reviews (View All): (March 19, 2007) My daughter goes to Palo Verde HS, and although the financial resources are in plenty, there is no recognition for her academic talents. She actually has about a 4.4 GPA right now, but there has been no 'Congratulations' from anyone at the school. There are 10 portable classrooms, and the school has about a thousand more students than it was built for. There is zero parent involvement in clubs or anything else. I have tried to involve myself, but nobody wanted me to get involved, so I just gave up after a while.
